Race Information

For the 2012 half marathon  we are allowing 700 runners. Registration starts on March 1st.

Acceptance Letter

 Once you are registered you should receive an acceptance email notifying you of your registration.

Refunds and Transfers

 THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS.

Location

 The half marathon starts at Payson lakes and runs down the canyon into Payson and finishing at Legacy Park.

Date

 September 8, 2012. REGISTRATION OPENS ON MARCH 1st, 2012.

Time

 Race starts promptly at 7:00 am

Fee Schedule
  • $50 for entries
  • If we have numbers available we will offer race-day registration

Pasta Loading

 We will NOT be offering a pasta dinner this year — look to a dinner next year

Entertainment

 There will be music and a band as well as other activities for runners and spectators at the finish area (Legend Field)

Packet Pickup and Vendor Expo

 Packets can be picked up between 3 – 7 pm on Sept 8 at 26.2 Running Company at their Provo location (1270 North State Street, Provo UT)  We will also offer saturday morning packet pick up between 4:30 and 5 am

 Extra T-Shirts. If we have any left over, you are welcome to purchase at $15

Time Limit

 We allow all runners to finish this race.  We ask that you keep a 16 minute pace but know we want all to finish

Weather

 This time of year you will experience a nice cool in the air which is ideal for running.  Please wear something warm to the start.

Road Closure

 The canyon will be open to traffic so we ask that you please run with the canyon outbound traffic

Split Times

 We will provide a 10K split time

Aid Stations

 Aid stations will be at the start, finish, at miles 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, Port-a-potties will be available at the start, finish, and at each aid station,  All aid stations will also have poweraide (on the first tables), water (on the last tables), and first aid.    GU energy gel at the aid station at mile 7.

Bus Transportation

 All runners are encouraged to take bus transportation to starting line.

Vehicles

 No personal support vehicles, baby strollers, roller blades, bicycles, motorcycles will be allowed on the course.

Runners Receive

 short sleeve technical t-shirt, finisher’s medallion, bus transportation to start, pre and post drinks and fruit, and you get to run one of the most scenic half marathons in the country.

Awards

 The awards ceremony will start around 9 a.m. on Saturday.  If you can’t stay you can pick up your award at 26.2 Running Company

 Overall top 3 men and women receive awardsTop 3 Men and women, for following age group categories

  • 19 and younger
  • 20-24
  • 25-29
  • 30-34
  • 35-39
  • 40-44
  • 45-49
  • 50-54
  • 55-59
  • 60 and older
There will be an award for overall Clydesdale and Athena

Sports Drink

 Poweraide is the official sports drink for the 2012 Mt. Nebo 1/2 marathon
